The MPowerBIO project is organizing an online 2-day intensive bootcamp on the 7th and 8th of July 2022 for SMEs in the Agrifood, Agritech, Food, Feed, Nutrition and Food wastes sectors, in order to empower them with the particular set of skills that private investors are looking for in the companies they finance.
The first day of the bootcamp will include a practical training on how to present themselves in front of an investor and a Pitching Academy, whereby each SME will pitch their project for 5 minutes. Three expert-coaches Mr. Nikolaos Tsoniotis, Mr. Evangelos Kosmidis and Mr. Dimitrios Kourtesis will give attendees valuable personalized feedback.
The second day is entirely dedicated to the Pitching Competition, during which the SMEs will have the opportunity to pitch their “just polished” ideas in front of a jury of experts in the field. The jury will be composed by the following experts: Mr. Theodoros Tsamourtzis, Mr. Evangelos Kosmidis, Mr. Grigoris Chatzikostas, Mr. Nikolaos Tsoniotis and Mr. Dimitrios Kourtesis.
The winners, the best 3 pitches of the competition, will be awarded a ticket to the MPowerBIO Final Pitching Competition “TechTour Bioeconomy 2022”, which will be held on October 5th 2022 in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, along with their travelling expenses (up to 250 EUR per project). There, they will pitch to active investors in the bioeconomy sector, be assessed by the Panel of Experts, personally meet with investors/ corporates and network with the key players in the field.
